38 AntiHydrogen atoms Traped.

An international team of scientists working at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research near Geneva, Switzerland, have held 38 antihydrogen atoms. They have held the atoms for fractions of second.

A brief Knowledge of Antiparticle : In particle physics, antimatter is like the concept of the antiparticle to matter, where antimatter is composed of antiparticles in the same manner that normal matter is made up of particles. For example, a positron (the antiparticle of the electron) and an antiproton can form an antihydrogen atom like combination of electron n proton Forms Hydrogen.
The experiments were carried out resulting Formation of Antihydrogen but it was instantly destroyed when it encountered the real matter. The team commented that the test will further give a scope to study the previously impossible test on atomic physics . However, one of the great mysteries in physics is why our world is made up of matter only, rather than antimatter. Both the particles have same properties and they follow all natural Rule Equally. This Experiment prove to be link between the fact How Universe was formed ??

According to Scientists making Antimatter particles like positrons and antiprotons was not that tough thing , but it was to made an antimatter atom by Combining both. It was first accomplished by two groups in 2002. But handling it was rather a big job, the basic reason being it cannot be allowed to come into normal contact of anything made of matter, means nothing in a general way.
Trapping of charged normal atoms can be done with electric or magnetic fields, trapping antihydrogen atoms requires a very particular type of field. Antimatter atom can be think of as magnetic material which can be deflected using magnetic fields. The researchers build a strong magnetic bottle around , and if the particle moves in less speed they are trapped. The Setup was like that , the antihydrogen was made of less energy , so naturally it will move slower , also the Experiment Involved less Strong magnetic field due to this reason. The team proved that among their 10 million antiprotons and 700 million positrons, 38 stable atoms of antihydrogen were formed, lasting about two tenths of a second each.

In Future the task is to produce more of the atoms, lasting longer in the trap, in order to study them more closely and make further new conclusions and discoveries.
